DevOps / Cloud Engineer for Student Support

Wien, Full-time 35-40 hours per week, mostly Home Office

YOUR ROLE

Your main objective in this role will be to guarantee the success of thousands of our DevOps and Cloud engineering students. Within this responsibility, you will be directly communicating with and support our students, helping them solve any issues, even motivating and coaching them through the learning process through our online programs.

This means, the majority of your time, you will be actively outreaching and answering questions of our students, via different types of communication channels, such as video calls, email, Discord chat etc. These could be technical engineering questions around DevOps and Cloud or even career-service related questions.

You will take pride in helping students with any issues they have during the learning process in all our Cloud courses and DevOps Bootcamps. You will have the authority and "own" customer satisfaction in our company.

To fulfil this role effectively, you must have not only expertise in DevOps and Cloud engineering but also important communication skills. In addition, you show willingness to always learn other technology/concepts. You are good at comprehending and troubleshooting issues, conducting research efficiently and analyzing problems.

You will also work closely with the CEOs to gain insight into our market, customer acquisition, retention, and business processes. Your work will have a powerful impact on company performance!

YOUR DAILY ACTIVITIES

* Conduct video calls with DevOps students (our customers) who need help for different reasons
* Support our 5,000+ enrolled students on different platforms, like Discord, E-Mail etc in a timely manner
* Gather and document feedback from students to help us improve our courses
* Cultivate an inclusive and open community
* Offer guidance and advice to prospects (potential students) from around the world, who are interested in our educational programs
* Develop and support campaign strategy, planning and implementation of student engagement initiatives across the customer lifecycle

:-) IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a DevOps/Cloud Engineer who has worked in Customer Support before. The candidate enjoys working in a "Start-up" setting. In terms of personality and skills, this candidate has a strong creative streak, analytical skills, the ability to work independently and to create new processes, and loves to take ownership of their work. Location in Vienna is a Must-Have requirement.

-- REQUIREMENTS

* At least 5-years work experience in IT in General

Required technology skills (3 years)

* DevOps
* Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipeline general, Jenkins and GitLab specifically
* AWS or other public cloud
* IT Security

Required soft skills:

* Excellent communication skills
* Outgoing and open person
* Empathy and ability to put yourself in the shoes of the student
* Highly organised and analytical
* Flexibility and sense of commitment to the projects you work on
* Ability to work independently
* You take pride in your work

Other:

* Excellent English Language skills (both written and verbal) is required
* Excellent German skills necessary is preferable
* MUST-BE: Location in Vienna, Austria

Availability & Work times

* This is a full-time employment, with 35-40 hours a week
* You must be based in Vienna, Austria
* Most of the work will still be remote (home office)

The weekly hours can be distributed flexibly over 7 days. However, it must be granted that you can respond to student requests in the most timely manner in order to ensure the best learning experience for them.
