Carbon Calculation & Targeting is a staff unit, which belongs to the division 'Enterprise-Wide Risk Management'. The unit is responsible for: methodology & maintenance of the group-wide Greenhouse Gas emissions Calculations of Erste Group's financed portfolio; portfolio-based Decarbonization Modelling & Target Setting; governance, development and execution of related processes. We are contributing to Erste Group's Net Zero targets achievement. Your Tasks

* Contribution to all team activities regarding the performance of Carbon Calculation and Decarbonization Modelling and Target Setting
* Provide support to the team's agenda of continuously improving the methodology and processes of the Carbon Calculation & Targeting framework
* Development and enhancement of the Carbon Calculation & Targeting infrastructure and simulation platforms
* Development of portfolio-based Decarbonization models and targets for selective industry portfolios

Your Background

* Ongoing studies at University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in a quantitative field (environmental focus of advantage), e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, (Environmental) Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and Quantitative Finance
* Proficient use of statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python)
* Focused and analytically minded individual with a problem-solving mentality and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment while having a preference for individual engagement
* Fluent in English. Knowledge of German and/or a CEE language would be an advantage

Our Offer

* Exciting and challenging full-time (38.5h/week) as of November 2024 until June 2025 or part-time internship (19.25h/week) as of November 2024 until December 2025
