Chief Actuary (f/m/d) for Life / Health insurance

Future fields of activity:

* Head of the life/health actuarial department as Chief Actuary within the finance department of Alllianz Austria with responsibility for actuarial reserving (UGB, IFRS 17, Solvency II) as well as monthly and quarterly reporting
* Head of the actuarial function for Allianz Elementar Lebensversicherung
* Governance function, responsible for the calculation of technical provisions, appropriateness of methods, models and assumptions, monitoring of the general underwriting and acceptance policy and reinsurance agreements as well as participation in the risk management system
* Responsible actuary for Allianz Elementar life insurance and deputy responsible actuary for the health insurance business of Allianz Elementar Versicherung
* Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of regulatory reporting (e.g. actuarial reports, actuarial function report).
* Preparation of actuarial analyses in the area of life and health insurance, proposals for profit sharing, participation in strategic issues and in the planning process
* Work closely with CFO, CPO and CEO to ensure the ongoing fulfillment of insurance contract obligations and the proper preparation of tariffs, reserving and reporting.
* Working closely with all areas of Allianz Austria to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
* Further development of tasks and driving innovation in the area of responsibility. Setting priorities and motivating targets. Coaching and employee development in an environment of constant change.
* Ongoing interaction with both the Allianz Central Europe Region and Allianz Group actuarial function and sharing of best practices.
* First point of contact for regulatory issues as well as external auditors in the area of life and health insurance.

Our requirements:

* Strong leadership skills and 'growth mindset' to drive change and innovation on actuarial topics in life and health insurance within the organization
* Degree in actuarial or business mathematics or business studies with a focus on quantitative finance
* Complete training as an actuary and certification as a recognized actuary in the Actuarial Association of Austria (AVÖ) or comparable membership in another European actuarial association
* Several years of relevant professional experience in the actuarial field in life and health insurance
* Very good knowledge of Solvency II requirements and comprehensive expertise and experience of IFRS 17, embedded value and insurance products
* Strong communication skills
* Experience in stakeholder management
* Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Office 365
* Very good knowledge of German and English (C1)

Starting date: immediately I Hours: 38.5 hours per week I Location: ICON Towers - directly at the main train station 1100 Vienna I
Gross annual salary: EUR 120.000,- (willingness to overpay depending on qualifications)
