Working Title: Exploration and analysis of market growth opportunities for Liebherr in the duty cycle and deep foundation market in India
Objectives:
- Market and competitor analysis about the Indian construction equipment market and the Indian construction industry
- Competitor analysis based on growth rates, product portfolio, way of distribution and strengths
- Insights into the Indian clamshell dredging, aggregates as well as dragline mining market and the deep foundation market
- Description and evaluation of the current Liebherr setup in these business fields
- Conducting interviews with relevant Liebherr employees as well as with construction associations and experts in India
- Acquisition of a valuable data set to verify the qualitative findings of the market research
- Analysis of Indian perceptions of construction equipment from Western and Eastern of construction equipment manufacturers (Characterisation of the Indian market)
- Development of a new way of conducting market research in the construction industry for the future
Methodology:
- Comparative analysis between India and another country in terms of market environment, framework, and conditions
- Screening and evaluation based on marketing mix tools
- Implementation of marketing tools (e.g. PASTEL, Adaptation of Porter's Five Forces, SWOT-Analysis, etc.)
- Evaluation and positioning of the product portfolio in the focus market
- Highlighting political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal conditions of the respective markets
Qualification
- Student with a focus on Marketing & Sales or comparable specialisation
- Strong interest in market research activities and corresponding tools (market analysis, competitor analysis, etc.)
- Interest in and open-mindedness concerning other cultures
- High degree of initiative and personal responsibility
