We are a young team, based in Vienna, looking for a self-motivated candidate with passion for Quality Management to join us in the following position:

Food Safety & Quality Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Vienna, Austria

This is a full-time position, fixed-term contract for 18 months (covering maternity leave), extension may be possible.

Purpose of the job:

As a member of our AFS (AGRANA Fruit Services) Quality Team, you will be responsible for the supplier risk assessment and the raw material quality related services for our European affiliates. You aim to ensure that raw material quality fits the purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. You will liaise with all departments, suppliers and affiliates to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, you will advise on changes and their implementation.

Your tasks include:

* Organization and performance of supplier audits for the whole material portfolio purchased by AGRANA Fruit, with a focus on the assessment of Food Safety risks, corrective and preventive actions and supplier improvement initiatives
* Responsibility for a specific product portfolio (various fruits and additives), including coordination with various internal and external stakeholders for Food Safety and Quality topics
* Assessment of Food Safety and Quality risks for the respective sources and deriving actions for the organization
* Supplier qualification and supplier performance evaluation for the respective sources, in close cooperation with the procurement department and AGRANA Fruit affiliates
* Coordination of supplier supervision visits in the respective producing countries
* Complaint management for your product portfolio including risk assessment and cross-functional internal communication
* Supplier Food Safety documentation management: Review and approval of supplier Food Safety documents
* General quality assurance and regulatory affairs support as well as contribution to the internal Quality Management System
* Development, support and execution of initiatives for continuous improvement projects striving to enhance overall quality performance throughout the whole value chain

Your ideal profile:

* Degree in Natural Sciences (Nutritional science, Food technology, Safety in the food chain, or comparable)
* Food safety and quality skills (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP)
* Auditing experience (supplier audits, internal audits)
* High willingness to travel (mostly European scope)
* Driving license for B-class vehicles
* MS Office skills, SAP/BW is an additional asset
* Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage
* As a pro-active team player with excellent communication skills you act as an interface between suppliers, customers and internal departments (purchasing, logistics)
* You are stress-resistant, resilient and you are able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires high flexibility and commitment to results

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 37,030.84 gross per year. Overpayment depending on qualifications and experience is possible.
