To strengthen our motivated Group Sustainability Department headed by Berhard Heneis at our headquarters in Vienna, we are looking for a Carbon and Environmental Expert (m/f/d).

Your Role

* You develop and implement strategies and guidelines to reduce the environmental footprint, focusing on carbon management, carbon accounting, decarbonization, water management, and biodiversity preservation
* You focus on carbon management initiatives, including tracking and reducing carbon emissions through carbon accounting and decarbonization efforts.
* You contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and processes to improve environmental performance
* Develop environmental and climate risk management plans and processes, including ongoing monitoring and assessment of key environmental metrics
* You collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring compliance with environmental policies and unlocking synergies as well as enabling best practices exchange
* You foster a sustainable corporate culture by initiating programs and develop and conduct training sessions to raise employee awareness on environmental topics

Your Profile

* You have a university degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability Management, or a related field
* You offer technical competencies and knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 50001, GHG protocol, SBTi)
* You have min. 3 years of experience in environmental management, ideally within the forestry, paper or packaging industry or a similar production environment
* You have strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and optimize complex processes
* You have experience in implementing environmental strategies, particularly in carbon management, carbon accounting, water management, and biodiversity conservation
* You offer excellent communication and presentation skills in english

For this position, an annual compensation package starting at EUR 65.000,- gross all-in is offered according to your qualifications and professional experience.
