The Austrian Agency for Research Integrity (OeAWI) is a registered non-profit association founded by research institutions in Austria to promote good scientific practice and investigate cases of alleged research misconduct.

Team member (m/f/d) Training and Writing

for 20-30 h/week, work place Vienna

Founded in 2008, the agency currently has 69 members, among them all public universities as well as private universities, universities of applied sciences, non-university research organizations, research funders and the Ministry of Education, Science and Research.

The agency provides advising to its members on all matters related to research integrity and misconduct. The Commission for Research Integrity of the OeAWI, an independent body consisting of distinguished scholars, offers confidential and objective investigation of cases of alleged research misconduct and proposes appropriate measures to the involved parties.

To raise awareness for issues related to research integrity and promote good practices, the agency also offers trainings and hosts events in various formats on current topics for its member institutions.

The OeAWI seeks to add a team member to support its activities in the areas of training and prevention.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver trainings on research integrity for various audiences
* Develop, organize, and if applicable - moderate online and in-person events
* Support the agency in all writing-related tasks (e.g., newsletter, website, social media posts)
* Support any research and infrastructure development projects of the agency as required

Requirements:

* University degree (at least Masters level) in Communication and Media Science, Educational Sciences, Law, or other relevant fields
* Training in and experience with research methods beyond the Masters level
* Excellent written and spoken English; very good written and spoken German
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience developing and delivering trainings or teaching
* Experience with and/or interest in writing (e.g., newsletters, website texts, social media posts)
* Strong interest in research integrity and ethics
