A multinational company operating in the manufacturing and distribution industry is seeking an experienced Controller to provide financial leadership and oversight for its Austrian operations and affiliated entities. This role reports directly to the International Platform CFO and will play a key role in driving financial strategy, compliance, and efficiency within a global framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial statement preparation and reporting for the Austrian entity and its group companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including ledgers, financial systems, and internal controls.
- Drive financial closing processes, ensuring timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Analyze financial data and trends, providing clear insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Manage and coordinate all audit activities, maintaining compliance with international accounting principles.
- Develop cost models to measure production efficiency and profitability across various product lines.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking activities, and develop financial forecasts in collaboration with the International Platform CFO.
- Lead budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure all financial policies and expenditures align with the company's strategic goals..
- Oversee investment tracking and financial performance analysis.
- Drive process improvements and financial best practices across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Controller in a manufacturing or distribution company, ideally within a multinational environment.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, audit management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis across multiple international markets (Europe, North America and China).
- Proven leadership in managing financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and investment accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting software
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior management and external stakeholders.
- Fluent proficiency in English and Mandarin, German is a plus
- High integrity, professionalism, and a proactive approach to financial leadership.
