(Senior / Principal) Scientist - Formulation and Drug Delivery

Duties and responsibilities

* Lead scientific projects in the area of advanced formulation and drug delivery as subject matter expert
* Develop and optimize innovative formulations
* Design formulation and manufacturing processes using Quality by Design (QbD) principles
* Proactively engage with the scientific community and stay up to date with recent developments in drug delivery
* Write scientific publications and funding proposals
* Actively exchange with clients during ongoing projects and in the context of acquiring new ones

Requirements

* A technical or natural science Masters degree and a PhD, with 2 - 5 years research experience in a relevant field
* Experience in the formulation of oral solid dosage forms, particularly in the area of coating
* Experience with formulation and manufacturing of biologics (proteins, peptides, monoclonal antibodies, oligonucleotides) of great advantage
* Knowledge of spray drying processes
* Experience with material characterization and analytical techniques
* Proven track record in conducting research projects
* Professional conduct and strong communication skills when interacting with international clients, partners, and colleagues
* Detail-oriented, data-driven and a strong team player
* Interest in and experience with top-level, goal-oriented research at the interface of basic science and industrial application

Salary

The minimum salary is 56,000 EUR gross per year (on a 40-hour basis). The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
